After research of drum and bass DigiPaks. I identified that many of them have a 'grunge', 'street' kind of theme. Examples include the Chase and Status front covers for the singles 'Flashing lights' and 'Hitz'. This has given us the idea of incorporating this them into ours. One of our major locations used in our music video was an abandoned building with heavy amount of creative graffiti that could potentially used to create this 'grungey' them. We returned to this location after identifying this to take some still photographs that could potentially be used as either the front, back or inside covers (this would be decided upon experimentation). Another theme we identified was the use of 'black and white' editing of the photos. This is a factor we found aesthetically pleasing and would like to incorporate into our own DigiPak . In terms of titles, there doesn't seem to be any particular conventions in terms of font or positioning allowing us to be creative and original within this aspect. We have looked at numerous font on the website 'Defont' that can be downloaded. However we feel that the images on our front and back cover will impact on our choice of font, therefore the front and back cover will need to be finalised first. The style of font will be the same throughout the DigiPak as this is a common convention of DigiPaks and creates consistency of theme and style throughout. However the boldness of the font may vary depending on the positioning (i.e front or back cover).

Another convention identified within DigiPak front covers (not specific to drum and bass) was the use of creative and professional images giving the front cover an aesthetically pleasing look. examples of this include: Kodaline -'In a Perfect World' and Mumford and Sons - 'Wilder Mind'. This is an aspect we particularly like and would potentially like to incorporate. The idea would involve doing this on both front and back cover to create a recurring theme. However we feel the inside of the DigiPak should potentially differ to prevent a boring, dull look, and will also express a wider variety of our knowledge of DigiPaks and the piece of software.
One major factor that is essential to our DigiPak is that the general theme can be linked to my music video. Based on this aspect, we delved deeper into our music video to try generate some potential ideas. A large part of the narrative to our music video includes the use of emoji images which suggests maybe we should have some sort of inclusion of emoji images. One idea involves editing an image of many aligned emoji faces to a circle shape to be placed onto the CD holder in the inside of the digi-pack.
In terms of our inside cover, we like the idea of writing the lyrics on the song used for our music video. This is not particularly are common convention of drum and bass DigiPaks, however is used within other genres. The font would potentially be a 'handwritten' font which is common of those that incorporated this idea.
