This drum and bass music video is mainly a narrative however concept could be included in the sense that a majority of the video is random with no clear plot. The video includes a relationship between a boy and a girl whereby it looks as if they are travelling, causing trouble and generally having fun. We also witness the mood changes and mixed emotions portrayed by the characters. These emotions are displayed very clearly through the heavy use of close ups and depth of field - I personally am a big fan of this technique. In terms of star treatment, there is very little - Drumsound and Bassline Smith are seen for a very small section within the video but have no major role. This matches the common convention of drum and bass music videos of not including their DJ's. There is a relationship between lyrics and visuals. The music video is about love and being 'free' - lyrics include: "hold out your hand, let me feel you as the sun comes up again, I've never felt, so free". The pace of editing matches the beat of the song - as the beat increases the pace of editing increases. This is a common convention of drum and bass music videos. We don't see a certain character or singer delivering the lyrics giving the music video no performance aspect. There is also no audience included linking to no performance. Having no performance is a common convention of drum and bass music videos and is more commonly found in rock/indie music videos. In terms of mode of address, there is some direct mode of address (looking directly at the camera) - this gives a sense of direct connection with the audience. The protagonists are between the ages of 20-30 creating a representation of the audience.Creating a representation of their audience within the video can help create a sense of personal engagement.
